Vubiquity is a leader in premium content services connecting content owners and video providers to deliver entertainment to viewers on any screen.


Vubiquity is seeking a Vice President, Sales Engineering & Solutions Architecture to manage and support a team of solution architects working closely with internal Vubiquity teams (Engineering, Product, Operations, Sales) and Vubiquity’s customers.  Successful candidates will have a strong base of technical knowledge, a high level of business acumen and excellent communication skills.  Experience in enterprise architecture and presenting to customers is also a plus.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they will be able to multitask across a wide variety of activities in Vubiquity’s fast-paced environment ranging from managing the team, presenting solutions to customers, driving detailed architecture/design across the enterprise, developing business models, negotiating with partners and vendors and developing and managing roadmaps for Vubiquity’s services.




Candidates must show a high level of competence in the following areas:


  • The end-to-end workflow for both VOD and linear content delivery to legacy set top box, TVE and OTT video platforms
  • Content metadata including industry specifications, processing and enhancement from third-party sources
  • Content processing including transcoding to multiple formats ranging from ProRes masters to various mezz formats to MBR or ABR deliverables and the application of various content container or packaging formats such as IMF for content archiving to HLS or DASH for content streaming
  • Existing and evolving standards for video streaming, including adaptive bit rate formats and DRMs
  • Linear content acquisition, transcoding and streaming
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to convey complicated technical concepts to a varied audience of both technical and non-technical people
  • Ability to manage a team of highly effective solution architects
  • Ability to successfully respond to various RFPs and RFIs including developing a solution, developing a cost model, and working with Sales and Marketing to determine pricing and to create a polished and professional response appropriate for each RFP and/or RFI



  • The applicant must have a minimum 10 years of experience in the cable television, content distribution or related industry
  • The applicant must have a minimum 10 years of experience in the cable television, content distribution or related industry
  • 5 + years of management experience
  • A minimum of a bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • A background in Video on Demand, multiplatform video distribution, and content management and delivery systems a plus
  • The applicant must have excellent presentation and communication skills and have the ability to learn and adapt in a continuously changing environment
  • The applicant must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time for customer meetings, partner/vendor meetings, trade shows, etc. including international travel
