The Manager, Network Operations Center is responsible for providing essential network monitoring, problem identification and resolution as well as acting as the company technical interface for all Vubiquity NVOD, Linear and VOD services and ancillary service offerings to Vubiquity cable affiliates and customers. Follow written and verbal operating procedures and instructions and directions as related or directed by Vubiquity supervisors or management staff. Network Operations Center Supervisors should be able to perform the duties assigned to Network Operations Technicians. Supervisors should handle difficult tasks that Network Operations Technicians cannot or should not perform. Supervisors will be on-call during nights and weekends to deal with emergencies. Moreover, supervisors are responsible for dealing with employee related issues, such as ensuring that employees are completing tasks, arriving on time, and finishing time sheets accurately.
Network Operations Center Supervisors must be knowledgeable on Vubiquity's content delivery network and associated satellite/data/network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. They must understand and be able to general network data flow from the Vubiquity uplink facility to cable affiliates and customers and have knowledge of data networking trouble-shooting procedures, staff supervision and clear communication skills are essential.
