Vubiquity is seeking a Director of Sales Engineering & Solutions Architecture to work closely with both internal Vubiquity teams (Engineering, Product, Operations, Sales) and Vubiquity’s customers. With customers, our sales engineers help client executives understand how Vubiquity’s products solve their business challenges. They are savvy enough to recognize business opportunities that the customer hasn’t mentioned, and direct customer interests to the solution they need – which might not be the solution they asked for. Internally, sales engineers help executives understand the marketplace opportunities for new products and services, and provide input to the product roadmap.
Candidates for this position will also play a dual role as a solutions architect. Our solutions architects engage in all business domains in the company – including ops, development, product, and legal – to drive projects and initiatives forward with the total picture in mind. They design the architecture for both individual solutions and the enterprise as a whole, and help ensure that the company continuously updates its systems and processes to consider modern design principles as well as to position itself in a changing marketplace. They define solutions that meet functional requirements, strategic goals, and operational robustness and efficiency rubrics.
Successful candidates will have a strong base of technical knowledge, a high level of business acumen and excellent communication skills. Experience in enterprise architecture and presenting to customers is also a plus. Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they will be able to multitask across a wide variety of activities in Vubiquity’s fast-paced environment ranging from presenting solutions to customers, driving product/architecture/design across the enterprise, developing business models, negotiating with partners and vendors and helping to develop roadmaps for Vubiquity’s services.
